Soho House Torstrasse, Berlin. Ironically housed in the former headquarters of the East German Communist Party, this project was commenced in 2007, and comprised the complete strip out and renewal of all the interior as well as replacement of all the external items such as windows and doors, with an additional floor at roof level. With over 50 generous bedrooms and suites, bars, work spaces, a cinema, a gym, spas and Cowshed (beauty Treatment and Therapies) a 7th floor restaurant and bars and a spectacular roof top pool and terraces this was the largest Soho House outside of the UK and US at the time. As with SH West Hollywood we were responsible for the scheme, but execution was carried out by a local team, (in fact the freeholders of the building who are a developer/builder).
