GTA designed the world first Pod at Heathrow Terminal 5.



Leading on infrastructure integration and user experience our team played a definitive role in the evolution of the ULTra system and its integration into the airport environment. We advised HAL/BAA prior to the appointment of ULTra/ATS and later developed guideway configurations, stations and user interfaces integrating engineering disciplines to deliver an intuitive and seamless passenger experience.

Pod has carried 3m passengers for 5m miles of Level 4 autonomous operation and continues to record the highest ratings for availability and passenger satisfaction of any service at Heathrow.
