In partnership with Bournehill London and LXA, these are three individual houses that combine the elegant proportions of the original London townhouse with contemporary lateral space creating unique homes on the site of a former car repair garage.

Intricately planned on a very tight site in Notting Hill, the development comprises two original houses substantially remodelled presenting a traditional addition to the streetscape with a third new contemporary house arranged around a central atrium facing a private courtyard garden. The design created multi-layered lateral spaces more expected in Los Angeles than London W2 flowing seamlessly both vertically and horizontally, with very private bedroom suites.

 

All three houses have substantial basements. The use of atriums and voids allowed all of them to be daylit with views up and out, and in some cases separate street access.

 

Through our associate property company, we also participated in the development and sale of the properties achieving record-breaking prices in a very difficult post-Brexit market.

 

Key achievement – taking two cramped and dilapidated Victorian terraced houses and a small garage workshop and creating 3 substantial, unique and valuable homes.
