Airport Architecture and Design

The project called for a complete overhaul of the existing and somewhat tired finishes, to a standard more fitting for a First Class passenger experience. The previous design had been in place for over a decade. The check-in desk presentation being the standard HAL design and finish of the main concourse, with no differentiation with the main cabin and First offer. The design solution takes from the redesign of the wider worldwide BA estate, pulling through all new finishes and details that the travelling passenger now can expect to find on their journey through the Lounges to aircraft. The Check-in being the first touch point in this new passenger experience it was important to convey this new 'look' as closely as possible, whilst respecting the technical requirements of a heavily trafficked Landside environment.
